How to use this template.

Plan one payday at a time. The remaining amount shows whether your assignments fit the money from this specific paycheck.

  1. Enter this paycheck’s date and take-home amount, not your whole monthly income.
  2. Add bills, spending allowances, savings and debt assignments as separate rows.
  3. Record actual allocations when they happen. Count a transfer to a savings bucket once, not again when the same money is spent.

A few useful answers.

Can I use this for biweekly pay?

Yes. Create a plan for each paycheck and assign only the expenses or savings funded by that paycheck.

Can the remaining amount be negative?

Yes. It means the entered allocations exceed take-home pay. This is shown as an over-allocation rather than silently clipped to zero.
